  • Cook Time: 40 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Cook lasagna noodles as directed on the package; drain and set aside.
  • Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly.
  • Set aside after draining.
  • Cook onion, carrot, celery, and garlic in the same skillet until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Cook for 10 minutes.
  • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, and ricotta cheese are layered on top.
  • Repeat the layers, finishing with the cheese.
  • 30-40 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Allow 5-10 minutes for the lasagna to cool before slicing and serving.
  • Enjoy a glass of red wine with your lasagna.
